MACE free survival according to HMGB-1 levels was evaluated using Kaplan-Mayer method and compared using the Log-Rank test. Serum HMGB-1 levels higher than 6.905 ng/mL was associated with of a higher incidence of MACE compared to serum HMGB-1 levels less than 6.905 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 69.14% and a specificity of 78.33% (p = 0.0005)
