Genetic studies suggest novel approaches for the management of hypertriglyceridemia focused on key targets involved in the regulation of triglyceride-rich lipoprotein metabolism: apolipoprotein C-III (encoded by APOC3), angiopoietin-like proteins (ANGPTL) 3 and 4, apolipoprotein A V (apo A V) and lipoprotein lipase (LPL)0 [75,76,77,78,79,80,81,82,83].
