Glibenclamide did not modify body weight and blood glucose in streptozotocin (STZ) mice. Compared with control, mice treated with STZ (60 mg/kg, i.p) displayed lower body weight and higher blood glucose, glibenclamide (5 mg/kg, i.g, × 14 d) did not change body weight and blood glucose in diabetic mice. **P < 0.01.
