HRs for cardiovascular events using spline analyses. Restricted cubic splines of the TyG index with 3 knots (10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles) and 8.0 as a reference were used. HRs and 95% CIs were calculated using Cox proportional hazards models after adjustment for sex, age at baseline, smoking status, alcohol consumption frequency, physical activity, household income, systolic blood pressure, body mass index, lipid-lowering medication use, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
