Experimental design of the study. Twenty four animals were equally distributed in four groups: control, CUS; control-Rec and CUS-Rec. CUS and CUS-Rec were submitted to a protocol of chronic unpredictable stress. Animals allocated to control and CUS group were sacrificed after the chronic stress protocol period (28 days) in fasting conditions. The control-Rec and CUS-Rec were sacrificed after a period of 5 weeks post the stress protocol. CUS chronic unpredictable stress; Rec recovery; GTT glucose tolerance test; WAT white adipose tissue
