Metformin alleviated high glucose-induced dysfunction of BM-EPCs in vitro. BM-EPCs were incubated for 24 h with high glucose (33 mM), or high glucose (33 mM) + metformin (2 mM). BM-EPCs without high glucose and drug treatment were served as control. Metformin significantly increased high glucose-impaired tube formation (a, b), and migration (c, d) ability in cultured BM-EPCs in vitro. **P < 0.01, *P < 0.05 vs Control; # P < 0.05 vs HG.
