Rho kinase 1 (ROCK1) expression in the left ventricle. Representative images of western blot membranes for ROCK1 (a) and actin loading control (b) from control, diabetic and diabetic rats treated with fasudil (10 mg/kg/day). Compared to control rats, ROCK1 protein expression in the left ventricle of diabetic rats was similar. Fasudil treatment (10 mg/kg/day) in diabetic rats did not change ROCK1 expression in the left ventricle in comparison to the diabetic group. Panel c is the quantification of ROCK1 expression relative to actin. Data expressed as mean ± SEM. N = 6 per group.
