Study protocol. On admission, a blood sample analysis and 75-g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) were performed under fasting conditions. Subcutaneous interstitial glucose levels were monitored over a period of 3 consecutive days using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). After the CGM examination, 3 vessels were subjected to optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination
