Effect of adiponectin (ADIPO) and free fatty acids (FFA) levels on the prevalence of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR ≥ p75). Subjects were stratified by normal or high abdominal visceral fat. *p < 0.05 as compared to normal AVF/normal ADIPO; p < 0.05 as compared to normal AVF/low ADIPO; p < 0.05 as compared to high AVF/normal ADIPO, Chi-square test.
