Effects of ribaroxaban (A) and DPI (B) on superoxide generation in HUVECs. HUVECs were pre-incubated with or without the indicated concentrations of ribaroxaban for 30 min and treated with 100 μg/ml AGE-BSA, 100 μg/ml non-glycated BSA or 3% citrated human plasma in the presence or absence of 50 nM DPI for 4 hr. Then the cells were incubated with DHE. Each upper panel shows typical microphotographs of the cells. Each lower panel shows quantitative data of ROS generation evaluated by fluorescent intensity.
