Representative Western blot images (A) and quantification of the levels of p-AMPKα/AMPKα (B), p-AMPKβ/AMPKβ (C), and p-ACC/ACC (D) in heart homogenates of wild-type (gckw/w) and gck knockout (gckw/–) mice as well as knockout mice treated with insulin or rosiglitazone for 4 weeks are shown. Phosphorylated AMPK and ACC levels were measured by Western blots. n = 3 for all samples. Asterisk (*) refers to statistical significance (P < 0.05) in comparisons with gckw/– mice, while # refers to comparisons with gckw/w mice.
