Antiapoptotic effect of TSN on cardiomyocytes in diabetic rats. TSN reduced the number of apoptotic cardiomyocytes compared with the diabetes group and the HOE140 group (A). The number of TUNEL-positive cardiomyocytes (in green, DAPI in blue) was significantly less in the TSN group than in the diabetes group and the HOE140 group (B). TSN treatment significantly decreased caspase-3 activity compared with the diabetes group and the HOE140 group (C).
