  1. Serum leptin levels were categorized into quartiles (Q1-4) according to the leptin levels (Q1, < 2.4 ng/mL; Q2, 2.4 to < 4.2 ng/mL; Q3, 4.2 to < 6.65 ng/mL; and Q4 ≥ 6.65 ng/mL for males and Q1, < 6.8 ng/mL; Q2, 6.8 to <9.0 ng/mL; Q3, 9.0 to < 13.1 ng/mL; and Q4, ≥ 13.1 ng/mL for females).
