  1. We used the Kruskal-Wallis test to analyze the variability of the continuous variables of the study. Significant variability among the 4 study groups was noted for the mean values of sST2, hs-CRP, FPG, total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and HbA1c. No variability was found for the mean values of BNP, fibrinogen and eGFR.
